LITHGOW IRONWORKS.

Sydney, December 9.

The Commercial Banking Company officially informed the Premier that the tank could not accept Parliament's terms for advancing money to the Lithgow ironworks. Mr. Sandford, manager of the works, alto wrote to Mr. Wade, stating that the bank had called upon him to pay the foil amount of the overdraft. An officer of the lank takes possession to-

day. The whole works except the blast fur naces will be closed.
