THE GOOLD TRAGEDY.
CALLOUS CONCESSION. Monte Carlo, December 3. The trial of Vere Goold and his wife on a charge of having murdered Madame Levin at their lodgings in Monte Carlo, has begun. Goold blamed himself exclusivelyT ' In reply to the judge he described the details of the crime with an inhuman air of boredom. He said he had cut the body because "it looked nasty in the box/' Ho thought "it might be more uniform."
