THE DUNDONALD WRECK.
Per Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. The Magisterial inquiry into the wreck of the Dundonald on Disappointment Island was held to-day before Mr, .McCarthy, S.M., and Captain N. McDonald (Bluil' Harbormaster) and Captain Si'lba, of the Whakatane. The evidence' given by the second and third mates and by Pinion, who was lookout man on the night of the wreck, disclosed no new facts. It was not known whether the vessel or cargo were insured. The findings will be given in the ordinary way. As the result of representations of the Mayor to Mr. Waite, curator of Canterbury .Museum, the boat made by the Bundonald survivors was allowed to remain here and be exhibited this afternoon for the benefit of the survivors of the wreck. Many people paid to see it, the takings amounting to ,€22 2s.
