SUPREME COURT.
Per Press Association. Auckland, Monday. Joseph Henry Jones appeared before Judge Denniston to be sentenced for having forged a telegraph money order Prisoner .said he had stolen the money in order that he might get married. His Honor said he could not grant probation except in cases of previous good character. He deferred sentence so that he might gather evidence as to the prisoner's character.
