HOODLUMISM AT THE RECREATION GROUNDS.
To the Editor. Sir,—Permit me through your valuj able columns to cull attention to the ' conduct ot' two young lads at the li<Jerealion Ground* on Sunday afternoon. It is customary for them to sit close beside the footpaths, and when young girls pass them to make lewd remarks to them when they think it can be done without detection. I hoard part of .some remarks miulc by thene hoodlums. I remonstrated with them soul received some fancy answers. I asked them if they liad sisters or mothers; if so, would they wish to have them insulted in such a manner? i reminded the youths that had it been one of my daughters I would have horse-whipped them and would have taken t'hem in hand nt once, regardless of what followed, by ducking them in the pond close by.—l am, etc., INDIGNANT.
