ONEHUNGA SHIPPING FACILITIES

Per Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The wharves at Onehunga have been greatly overtaxed during the past few days. During Saturday and yesterday no less than eight vessels were alongside loading nnd unloading. So bad is the accommodation that yesterday no less than three—the Waitangi, Muritai, and Torgauten—had to lie abreast of each other. Times out of number has the state of affairs been pointed out, but it appears as if nothing would ,be done until the Main Trunk Railway is completed, the idea being that when that is finished the bulk of the trade will 1m done by rail.
