THE FLAXMILLING INDUSTRY.
Per Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. A new flaxmill at Makcrua, near Shannon, was opened by Seifert and Co. on haturday in the presence of the Hon. Messrs. McNab and Duncan and other members of Parliament and representative business-men. Speeches were delivered by the Hon. Messrs. McNab and Duncan, Messrs. Greenslade, Lawry, Hekc, Field, and Hogg, congratulating the company on their magnificent enterprise. The mill is the largest in the Dominion, and is equipped with modern machinery and every convenience for 150 workers.
