WEDDINGS.
NOLAN—CAI'EL. . A pretty wedding, and one in which was centred a good deal of interest, was celebrated yesterday afternoon at St. Mary's Church by the Rev. J. B. Brocklehurst. The contracting parties were Mr. Leslie Adams Nolan, of New Plymouth, fiftn son of the late Mr. David Nolan, of Auckland, and Miss Maud Harold Capel, daughter of the late Captain Capel, of New Plymouth; Miss Nina Capel and Miss E. Nolan were the bridesmaids, Mr. Channing Tonks (11awcra) best man, and Mr. Erie S. Bayly groomsman. Dr. Fookes, brother-in-law of the bride, gave her away. Her wedding attire was a beautiful creation of white chiflon taffeta, richly trimmed with Limerick lace and chiffon. She wore the customary veil and wreath, and a handsome gold ln-acelet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride's bouquet was a lovely shower one, of wdiite roses and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids wore pretty dresses of pale blue chiffon taffeta, trimmed with fawn lace, and pale blue crinoline straw hats relieved with pink roses. They carried exquisite bouquets of pink roses and asparagus fern, and wore gold and pearl brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother, where a line array of exquisite presents was 011 view. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan left the same afternoon for the South, on their bridal tour. The dress was a naiy Jrfile" coat aiidslart; with cliam- ■ "pagnc-colored hat trimmed roses and green ribbon. DILLON—EDE. At Te Ilenui Church yesterday afternoon Mr. Walter Granville Dillon andMiss Coral Mary Ede, daughter of Mr. E. A. Ede, both of New' Plymouth, were united in the bonds of holy matrimony by the Rev. Mr. Latter. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming dress of white silk, trimmed with folds of Valencieurtes lace, and a pretty pink and green hat. She also carried a shower bouquet of orange blossom, white roses, and maidenhair fern, and wore a golden nackchain and photo-charm, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Edith Ede, the bride's sister, was the bridesmaid, and wore wljite lawn, with embroidered coatee, and trimmed with embroidery, and a pink hat. She carried a pretty bouquet of pink and white blooms. Mr. J. F. Strang acted as best man. The bridegroom's preseiit to the bridesmaid Was a. gold cable bangle, and the, pride's to tho bridegroom a shaving suita After- the ceremony numerous friends were entertained at the residence of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dillon left for Auckland last night 011 their honeymoon tour, and will return to their future home in New Plymouth.
