The domestic drama "Home, Sweet Home," which formed the opening attraction, was received tritli distinct tokens of approval. "Home, Sweet Home," to be produced at the Theatre Royal, New Plymouth, on Friday, will be a pleasant relief from tli» average blood-and-thundcr melodrama so often met with nowadays. To say that Mr. Frank Undo has given the world a great play in this stage story of an F.nglisli falling village would be ridiculous overpraise, but it is the due of the author to acknowledge that the "domcstic drama,' as it is s'tyiea, nas the admirable strength aad simplicity, with the added attractiveness of sentimental cliarni, There Is always a welcome for lieaji, healthy, and straightforward plays of this class."
