ALLEGED SANDBAGGING.
Per Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. A young man named Gordon Henderson, while returning to his home at Oneliunga at 3 a.m. after a dance, was. sLiuck on the head, presumably with a sandbag. He states that he grappled with his assailant and escaped with his clothing badly torn. He reached home, but subsequently became unconscious for half an hour and was iseriously ill. He cannot ascribe any motive for the attack, but supposes it was robbery. Henderson had recently been running at what are known as the Gaslight Sports. He is described as a respectable young .'cllow. and his friends believe his ?t.ory.
