A RAID ON UNDESIRABLES.

Christchurch, Tuesday. » Detectives raided some premises wheri several undesirables wanted by the police had taken up their abode." Twenty men were found in the smoking-room, ihey stampeded for the door, but it opened inwards, and they were jammed. Four were Weeded out and charged witli vagrancy. They were remanded at the Police Court. Bail was fixed at £IOO which the Stipendiary Magistrate re- 1 fused to reduce.
