Hall, reporting that repairs were required to bridges 011 Richmond, Kelly, Cros.-, and York roads, and that his estimate of the cost of same was about UO.
Surfaceman W. Palmer reported that lie had been engaged during the month in filling in a wash-out on Upper Te Arei road leading to the Waitara bridge; about 100 yards of metal were required for repairs to Waitara road from Devon line to the railway crossing, and a culvert required renewing on the Te Arei road. It was resolved that Mr (!. Hall be requested to undertake the repairs to the bridges mentioned in his report as >OOll as possible. The surfaceman was directed to form the hill 011 York road and put in a new culvert on the Te Arei road, aNo to clean out drain 011 Brown load, provided Mr Tait assists. Mr Smith was authorised to get the repair- done to the Waitara road. The cl.-rk was directed to write to the Waitara Borough Council and Clifton fount v Council ami inquire if their graders would be available for hire this r-enson.
