ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. A man named Charles Pippet, employed at Canada Keef quartz mine, near Milton, committed suicide by hanging himself in his hut. Deceased had been drinkiug heavily for some days previously, and was very despondent. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict of suicide by hanging while in a state of temporary insanity caused by excessive drinking of alcoholic liquor.
