The Daily Tlegraph, commenting on tha Empire match, which is being fired to-day, says the New Zealander* bare not shown up at the meeting in a style suggesting that they are likely to win, but their practice scores were entirely Mtisfactory. They are the ''outsiders" of the trio engaged. The Herald lays the New Zealanden have not shot with advantage, but yuuld shoot Well if coached. Many complaints are made of un«W"» of the ammunition supplied to competitor* at the rifle meeting. As ■any it three distinct sizes of bullets WW detected in a single packet. In the Empire Match, ten shots each at 200, 500, 800, BUJ, 000, and 1000 yards, the position at the completion of the flnt two ranges was—Australia 746, Britain 737, New Zealand 726. At the compietfon of the third range in the Empire Match the scores were— Australia 1108 Great Britain .. ... 1077 New ifralanrt 1077 The remaining ranges will be Bred to-morrow. DETAILS OF THE SCORING. Received Oct. 28, 9J53 pan. Sydney, October 28. The weather-was fine, with good light, giving the best shooting conditions of the meeting so far. The members of tin New Zealand team fired very consistently. The Britishers lost considerably through putting twelve shots on the Wrong target, nine at 500 yards and three at 400 yards. The scores at the different ranges jrere.—
