BOXING.
Per Press Association. Wellington, Friday. At the recent boxing competition doubts were cast upon the eligibility of Elliott, of Timaru, who won the featherweight championship of Australia. Captain Horaeman, of Sydney, asked the local amateur association to inquire into the matter. The association has now done so, and has returned an answer that it is of opinion that there are no grounds to support the rumors.
