FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Per Press Association. Wellington, Friday. The Coyncil met at 2.a0 p.m. The Fire Brigades Bill was reported. The Animals Protection Bill was further considered in committee. Clause 2 was amended to permit the issue ot licenses to sell imported game on payment of a fee of £2. The Council adjourned at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Council resumed a t8 p.m. Tne Animals Protection Bill was further considered and reported with amendments. The Imprest Supply Bill from the House was put through all its stages unamended. _, -, ; HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES In the House leave ef ahsence for the remainder of tl*! session was granted to Mr. MeLacblan (Ashburton) on account of ill-health. Six days' leave was granted to Mr. Flatman owing to sickness in his family. ■' T"■'■>^f;Ji|a The Annual Land and Income Tax Bill was introduced by Governor's message and read a first time. The.. Imprest Supply Bill was introduced by Governor's message. The House adjourned at 5.30 o'clock. The House resumed at 7.30. The Imprest Supply Bill, No. 5, providing for £070,000, was put through all stages and passed. The House went into committee on the National Endowment Bill. Mr Lang propose dto amend the title to the Land Nationalisation and Leasehold Bill. The debate was proceeding at midnight
