OPENED BY LADY KORTHCOTE. Received Oct. 23, 9.24 p.m. Melbourne, October 23. Lady NorthcoW, in the presence of a very large and brilliant gathering, mchiding the Governor-General, the Governors of other States and their ladies, Admiral Fawkes, and Mr. Deakin, opened the exhibition of women's work in the Exhibition building, The exhibition is the most impos-1 ing of its kind held in Australia, and it thoroughly representative of the Commonwealth's women's work.
