After a continuous sitting lasting over twenty-four hours, Mr. MiKiowan's want-of-confidence motion was negatived by 62 to IM. The Opposition kept up a •teady stonewall throughout last, night and to-day, and the proceedings were generally uninteresting. Prior to disposing of Mr. MeCowan's notion the House negatived an amendment by Mr. I ► Sullivan condemning the Government for (not?) making provision for the relief of settlers in view of the possibility of a prolonged drought.
