Per Press Association. Inverairgiil, Last Night. A reserved judgment of interest to builders was delivered by the Stipeudi-to-day in the case in which W, Davis and Smith Bros, wore charged with having erected scaffolding not in compliance with the requiiemcnts of the Act. The Magistrate dismissed both informations, on the ground that the Act provided no penalty for noncompliance with the regulations until a written notification had been served on a builder by the inspector. The penalty was for non-compliance with such notice. For having erected scaffoldifl" without having notified the inspector, Smith Bros, were fined 20s and 7s costs.
