The successful ones ivere Mrs. 1. Stewart and Mr. I']. Loveridge. The M.(_.s were Messrs. J. Hoskin and if. Adams, and Mrs. Ceorge (piano) and Air. Saunders (cornet) supplied faultless music for the dancing. During tie evening two presentations on behalf of the dub and of personal friends were made to Mr. Jlughie Adams, a prominent member of Ike social club's committee. Mr. Adams lias received notice of promotion to the Eastown workshops, and his comrades made these presentations that he might carry v.itli him some tangible token of their esteem and of goodfellowship during his sojourn here. The presents took the form of a case of pipes and golil-tipped cigarette-holder in silver case, and a case of cigars. Mr. Adams briefly returned thanks. Supper was served in three relays, and dancing was then resumed. Although the night was rather warm for dancing, all seemed to hugely enjoy tlie evening's entertainment. The club has made a line reputation which should stand it in good stead in the future when arranging similar affairs.
