The report received at the Baptist Union Conference from the Sundayschools and i'oung Peoples Committee stated that the schools throughout the Dominion were doing suceessiul work. .Newer methods of teaching were gradually being adopted, especially in the primary Bible-class departments. Exuininera spoke most higiily of the results oi the examinations, there were now it schools, with 5112 scholars and 028 teachers and officers. ihe conference resolved to send delegates to the Australasian Baptist Congress. It was resolved to approach the Sun-day-school unions of the Dominion to' secure the holding of examinations at the same time of the year so as to prevent clashing with church examinations. Martla (Spreydon), Messrs Hoby (Wellington), A. P. Adams (Dunedin), H. Smeeton (Auckland), W. H. George (Wellington), H. H. Driver (Dunedin), A. If. Carey (Christcllurch); ed.tor of "New. Zealand Baptist," Mr 11. H. Driver} manager of the "Baptist," Mr D. T. Allan (Dunedin); registrar, Rev. W. R. Woolley; financial secretary, Rev. 0. Boyall; secretary annuity fund, Mr A. F. Car?y; treasurer annuity fund, Mr W. H. George; student committee, Revs. J. J. North, R. S .Gray, A. Swilson, T. A. Williams, A. Dewdney; convening board of introduction, Rev. A. North;' union preacher, Rev. A. S. Wilson. A strong resolution on gambling was passed.
