Per Press Association. Palmerston .North, Last Night. Jintnes for the agricultural and pastoral show closed at 9 o'clock to-night. No figures were available, but it was I safely predicted that the show would be one of the most successful ever held iu the Dominion. Late fee entries will be received up till next Friday for live | stock only. She'ep entries are especially good, and a number of imported sheep will he exhibited. Horses are also very good. The entries in the children's section have been pouring in from aU parts of the district, and an excellent exhibit is expected. The Kennel Club show, too wul be even better than in former years' The meeting of the North Island Poultry Association, which was to have been held on the 14th instant, has been postponed till show-week, when more members'are expected to be present.
