m n A MASSACRE NEARLY PROVOKED. Tangier, October 9. ' A drunken Spaniard, using a revolver, killed some Moorish soldier in Tangier The incident nearly provoked a massacre of Europeans. The authorities by exercising the greatest energy, succeeded in quelling the disturbance.
