Dunedin, Last Night, lhe commercial editor of the Otago Daily limes says the rapid advance in the wheat markets in London and Austialia, accelerated by reports of crop failure.? ill India and fear of drought in Australia, has had its effeet upon the wheat markets in Now Zealand. Sales were made both in Timaru and Oamaru to-day at 5s pn trucks or at the rate of tl per bag, being an advance of 3d per bushel since the beginning of the week. In consequence of this the Now Zealand Flourmillers' Association def cidod this afternoon to raise the price " of Hour by £1 per ton, and the local quotation is now £l2 5s per ton. In all probability this will carry with it a further advance of a halfpenny on the price of bread, making it 7V 2 d the e 41b loaf. It is understood the Master ? Bakers' Association will meet to-morrow " to discuss the situation. 5.
