At J\'o. 4 the 8-inch ca-iag is now down to a little over SiOit, out it may ;.e decided to siiut down this Lore and pat double shitts on to iNo. 3 and perhaps No. 2, and make them the proper test bores.
It now seems possible that all the bores will have to go down below the suft strata with the various small seams of oil, and trust to reach a larger and more permanent supply beluw tlie hard strata now in No. 3. It was decided at the List meeting of directors that any shareholders would be at liberty to visit the bores every Xuuisd.iy aft.rnoon on receiving a card of admission at tue company's ollice, but if any critical test is Jjeing made they will receive the managor's instructions. So much gas is coming out that no smoking will be allowed at or near the bores.
