ATTEMPTED TRAIN WRECKING.

A DASTARDLY OUTRAGE. Per Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. The seven o'clock train from Frankton to I'aeroa narrowly escaped disaster last evening. The points on the Thames [ side of the yard were fixed at half-cock, being wedged there with a piece of wood. The train was travelling slowly, and only the engine was derailed, and 'about 1% hours were occupied in replacing it. A similar attempt to deViiil a train was made on the same line j ! nix weeks ago.
