Under medical advice Mr Carruthers has tendered liia resignation of the Premiership. After a protracted Cabinet ineeti.ig the Attorney-General, Mr Wade officially announced at a very late hour last night that the Premier's health had given way under the strain of work, and that Mr Carruthers had been compelled, to send in his resignation during the evening. Mr Wilde ho expected to be sent for to-day to form ft Ministry. Parliament will, as arranged;

meet to-morrow. Apart from official statements, if is believed that difficulties met with bv Mr Carruthers in completing the reconstruction of the Ministry had something' to do with his resignation. THE NEW MINISTRY. Received let, 0.23 p.m. Sydney, October 1. The new Ministry is as follows: Mr Wade, Premier and Attorney-Gen-eral ; Mr Waddell, Treasurer; Mr Moore, Minister for Lands; Mr Lee, Minister for Public Works; Mr Hogue, Minister for Instruction; Mr Perry, Minister f'r Mines and Agriculture; Mr Wood, Chief Secretary; Mr Oakes. Honorary Minister; Mr Hughes, the Executive; Mr Ashton, Hon. Minister ill the Council.
