Mr W. T. iiookhani returned on Friday night from a business trip to Wellington. Lady I'lunket, an honorary colonel of No. 'A Kegiment of the North Canterbury .Mounted Killes, will inspect her regiment at Uulverton oil October 11. The death is announced of the Rev. 1). Durien, for many years pastor at fct. Thomas' Anglican Church, Auckland. Deceased had been in failing health for some months past, says a Press Association telegram from Auckland. Miss O'Uricn, head nurse at the Plymouth Hospital, accompanies Hiss Lynn Mills to Sydney. Miss Mills was seriously injured in a gig accident at Sentry Hill some eight months ago, and has been a patient in the hospital hero ever since. A benefit concert in Wellington raised £IOO for the young lady, who is well-known amongst hieUclass musicians. b
