LONDON WOOL SALES. London, Septenilwr 2.>. At the wool sales SUUi bales were offered, including 7282 bales of New Zealand crossbred, mostly slipes. The quotations for these remained unaltered. A few merinos were sold at prices fully 5 per cent, higher than at the closing sales of last series. There was a large attendance and good general competition. At the tallow auctions 2150 casks were offered and 737 sold. Fine mutton brought 3.35, medium 335; fine beef 35a, medium 32s 3d. LONDON' MEAT MARKETS. Per Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The C.C- and D. Company, London, to-day cabled the following report on quotations—Mutton, Canterbury, 4%d, Napier, Wellington and North Island j 3%d. Lamb, first quiity second ad. Beef, ninds 3%, fores 2%d. LOCAL MARKETS. Poultry still continues in good demand. especially for table birds. No alterations have been uncle since l;ist w.'ek ill prices offering for other produce.
