INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC

Per Press Association. Christclmreh, Monday. Quite a severe epidemic of influenza prevails in the city and suburbs. Medical men say the outbreak is highly infectious, but the people are disregarding this and spreading the disease. Very many establishments are being worked short-handed The Taylor-Carrington theatrical company had to close down, most of the principals being ill. The epidemic is considered to have affected more people than the notorious outbreak of "La Grippe" of twenty years ago.
