THIEVES PUNISHED.

Per Press Association. Christehureh, Saturday Night. The three sailors belonging to the schooner Morning Light-John Eriekson, Lmil Johnson, and Thomas Murphy—who were arrested on the arrival of the boat at Lyttelton yesterday on charges of breaking into a shed on the Takaka wharf, near Nelson, and stealing two lots of clothing, were each sentenced to lour months' imprisonment to-day.
