Melbourne, September 18

In the Victorian Legislative Assembly Mr. T. Bent, the Premier, promised it make Inquiries regarding the proposed amalgamation of the Citizens' Insurance Company and the Mutual Life Associa- ' tion, with a view to protecting the interests of local policy-holders. Received Sept. 19, O'l a.m. Sydney, September 18. A meeting of members of the Mutual life Association, after discussing the Blatter for an hour and a-half, carried a resolution in favour of amalgamating with the Citizens' Life Insurance Company by 111 to 0.
