MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Per Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. The Borough Council to-night rescinded the resolution passed at last meeting deciding that all the staff connected with the departments of the Town Clerk and Borough Engineer receive three months' notice terminating their engagements with the council. Instead, it was resolved, after a lengthy .discussion, to give the Town Clerk twelve months' leave of absence, and the Engineer six months' leave of absence, both on full pay, other officers to remain in the employ of the council.
