PURITY IN SPORT.
Per Press Association. V Wellington, Last Night. The conf&ence of delegates to consider the question of purity in sport met again to-day. It was decided to form a New Zealand Sports Federation for the purpose of governing the various / branches of sport, the objects to be the protection and conservation of the interests, rights, and privileges of each affiliated body, mutual recognition or* suspensions, disqualifications, regulations, etc.; the federation to meet annually at such place as may be decided; annual meetings for election of officers to lie held in the month of September; each affiliated body to elect two reproj sontatives on the federation; the annual subscription of each qualified body to be two guineas; an executive committee comprising four members, with secretary and with chairman elected by the executive to conduct *the business of the federation and adjudicate on all appeals; the committee's decisions to b« binding on all affiliated bodiea; special meetings may be convened at any time at the request of not less than three affiliated bodies. These rules will be submitted to all governing sports bodies, and replies considered at a meeting to take place at Chrlstchurcb in November to make final arrangements regarding the federation. Invitations to send delegates will be sent out to all • bodies now governing different branches of sport. Christchurch is recommended . as the headquarters of the federation. A resolution was carried in favor of suppressing betting at all sports gatherings. ,
