THE EAST ROAD.

1 ALMOST IMPASSABLE. The recent continuous and heavy rains have cut up all the roads in ihe district very considerably. The Strathmore Saddle is now in an exceedingly bad state owing to the late heavy rains and the heavy timber traffic which is now taking place in that locality, si.vs flic Stratford Post. The Saddle is a portion of the road funded over to the Stratford County Council last year. The Po'ioknn portion is under Government control. It is high time the authorities took some steps to make this portion at any rate a little safer.
