BOYS' ESCAPADE.
—I was both amused and surprised on reading your lengthy account of the Court case oi the late boys' escapade—amused at counsel's tactics and surprised at the Magistrate's decision. One would have expected that he would have administered a Hogging all round, for even if the other associates of lae gang were telling lies,, then the more reason for a good corporal reprimand-1 ing. It seems as if the proper action in future of the person trespassed upon will he not to trouble the Bench, but to administer a corrective in tin; shape of a good hiding himself. — I am. etc., A DiSBKLIKVEK JN MISPLACED LEXIENCY.
