At the inquest on the body of Wa.ier Jennings, who died suddenly at Ktlbirnie after apparently suffering from influenza and who was not Attended by a doctor, medical evidence showed that death was due to kidney disease, io]lowed by pericarditis and effusion to Uie pleura- Dr. Fyfc said had a doctor |een called in the kidney disease co'ild not have been cured, but the man's Hfe might hive been considerably prolonged. At the inquest on Thomas Crawford, who was found dead on the beach at Riverton, the medical evidence was to the effect that the appearances w.Te consistent with the theory that ce<; ceased had a fit just prior to death. A verdict was returned that death was due to drowning, and there was no evidence to show that it was due to any voluntary act of deceased.
