COLLISION IN HAURAKI GULF.

Per Press Association. Auckland, Lust Night. A collision occurred in Hauraki Gulf last night between the Northern Company's steamer Clansman and the scow Herald, resulting in slight damage to the latter vessel. Both were hound north. The Herald returned to Auckland this morning. Examination showed that only the chain plates for-" ward were damaged. - After the collision, the Clansman returned to the scow, and, rinding that the damage was small, went on her passage north.
