BRITACT APOLOGISES. Received 20th, 12.17 ajn. Georgetown, August 29. The Governor of British Guiana expressed to the President of Venezuela his regret at Captain earner's violation on the frontier, as cabled on the 19th, Stating that the? seized rubber will" be returned to {he owner. (The cable referred to stated that Captain Calder, commanding the British Guiana frontier force, crossed the border near the Barina river'and "compell-d ihe Venezuelans at tile muzzle of the revolver to surrender four thousand pounds of Ballata rubber, said to hive been obtained from a British forest. Tie Venezuelan Consul at Georgetown protested against armed fßvasibn.)
