THE SCHOOL CADETS.

At the Education Board on Wednesday- a letter was read from Mr E. Bary covering a copy of resolutions passed at a meeting of the cadet officers at Stratford: (1) That the Taranaki Cadet Battalion be reorganised; (2) that in fa-, ture there be two battalions, the first consisting of Central No. 1 and No. 2, West End, Waitara, Fitzroy, Bell Block, and Egmont Road, Opunake, Okato, and Urenui; and No. 2 battalion to consist of Stratford No. 1 and No. 2, Inglewood, Xgaire and lialf Stratford; (3) that Major Sandford be appointed Major of No. 1 Battalion and Captain Evans (Ingiewood) Major of No. 2 Battalion.

The reconiemndations will be forwarded to Lieutenant-Colonel Lovcday with the Board's approval.
