The annual meeting of the New Plymouth Bowling Club will be held at the pavilion on Tuesday evening next at 8 o'clock.
A public meeting is called for to-mor-row (.Friday) evening, at tlie Council Chambers, to receive report of committee and other business in connection with the New Plymouth band contest. The Hunt Club's social to-morrow at Bell Block promises to be a great turn out. Extra accommodation has been provided at the hall to cope with the crowd. A 'bus will leave Ambury's corner at 7 p.m. for the dance. Those in the vicinity of Bell Block in the evening can, if they wish, procure tea and horse feed, at Mr Pote's, Bell Block, at a reasonable charge. Messrs Murton & Co. announce slaughter prices in rods and other fishing tackle. The reductions bring the piiec of nil tines down lo 25 per cent, under cost.
