MARRIAGE WITH DECEASED WIFE'S SISTER. NOW LEGAL IN BRITAIN.
Received 28th, 12.10 a.m. London, August 27. The House of Lords read a third time the Deceased Wife's Sister Bill by 98 to 54. The Archbishop of Canterbrv. while Stating that the clergy would do their best to ensure the smooth working of the Act, remarked that it was the first time in Church of England history that th" law of the State was being brought J into direr t contradiction to the law of the Church.
