Lamb: A good demand for light weighU conti lues. There is only a dull sale of heavy carcases. Canterbury brands S'.id, other than Canterbury o'/ B d. There has been no alteration in the beef market since last week. Butter: Th> market is firm for best quality. Olh'rings of choicest Ne.v Zealand are very small. These are quoted at IWJs, Danish 112s, Siberian 100s, Canadian 105s.

Cheese: The market is quiet, with a tendency in favor of buyers. There | has been no change in prices since last : week.

Hemp: There is no material change in the hemp market. Buyers arc no I keen to do business.

Cocksfoot seed: There is no pressure to selL Only light stocks are on hand. Prices are unchanged. The grain market is firm, with a hardening tendency. Wool: Current quotations for Bradford tops are: Thirty-sixes, low crossbreds, la 3%d; forties, low cross-lireds, Is 4%d; fourtv-fours, medium crossbred*, Is 3d; fifties, half-breds. Is B'/,d; fifty-sixes, quarter-breds, 2s Oy,d; sixties, merinos, 2s 4d.
