London, August 25. In the county cricket championship Nottingham finished the season without being defeated. Hallam, the captain, took 153 wickets on an average of 11 wicket. Wass took 145 at an average of 13 runs. Middlesex defeated Sussex. Tarrant, the ex-Australian, in the second innings took eight wickets for forty-nine.
