A POLICE RAID.
Per Press Association,
Christcliurch, August 26. Police raided premises in Manchester street oil SuilffiTy and arrested the proprietor, Michael Hislop, on a charge of keeping a sly grog shop and a place frequented by thieves. Another man was arrested on a charge of consorting with thieves. A quantity of liquor was seized. Several residents of the city were found on the premises. Their names were taken.
