Inquiries prosecuted by a reporter to-1 day show that ,as the result of the recent rain the outlook for farmers in Oltago has vastly improved, the prospects now being decidedly bright. Good rains appear to have fallen in all the oountry _districts, and it is expected there will be abundance of feed, while fanners will be able to push on ploughing, etc. The miners, who have su/i'ered severely of late owing to the scarcity of water, will now have an abundant supply.
