NAVAL HARBOR.

WESTPORT'S AMBITION. Per Press Association. Weßtport, August 19. At a meeting of the Westport Harbor Board to-day the engineer and secretary submitted a report on the making of Westport into a harbor Buitablo for a naval coaUng harbor to accommodate the largest warships in tie Australasian service. It was stated this, could possibly be done from the Board's revenues in ten years, but in four years if the Admiralty granted a sujisidy of £200,000. The Board decided to recommend the Premier to forward the report to the Admiralty, with a request that marine engineers be sent to Westport to report on the proposal.
