DISTRICT COURT.
The only litigation before His Honor Judge Haselden yesterday was a gen- ! cral appeal from a decision of' His Worship Mx W, U. Riddell, S.M., who adjudged tho appellant, R. J. Shiel, to be the putative father of the illegitimate child of the respondent, Ruby Hook, aud ordered him to make certain payments. My O. H. Weston (Weston and Weston) appeared for the appellant, ?.nd Mr W. lCerr (Standish and Kerr) for the respondent. The case lasted all day, a number of witnesses being examined. At the conclusion counsel addressed the Court, and JI is Honor reserved his decision.
