HUNTING.

The fortnightly meet of the above club was held at Sentry Hill yesterday afternoon,over the properties of Mes.os llagee, Samson and Uixton. The club's best thanks are due to Mrs Samson, who provided a sumptuous luncheon and afternoon tea. "Throw oil - ' took place at 1 o'clock, and scvral short runs were indulged in, although no kill was effected. The jumping throughout the day was very good, and although there were several spills, none were serious. The hones arc showing much improved form, and next season should bring out some really good hunters. Amongst those riding were the following visitors from Hawera Club:—"Miss Maggie "Rriggs (n Hakarakn, Mr Robertson on Paddy.Sir •T. Hastie on Breeze, K Ilastie on'Morphina. Master XV. Hastie on Dynamite, •T. O'Donnell on Taikntn. T,ocal members following were: Miss May Sole on Rongamii, Miss Quigley, Miss Salw-ry, Mr Gliffe on Jviri. Mr Thomson on Tim. W. Stanley on True Blue, A. H. Halcombe on Peggie, P. Sole on Darkio, nnd Messrs Ilodgman. .Tnry, W. A. Malone, Kilpatviek. Seoles, Taylor. NobleHill, Sampson (2). Street (S) Pratt (2). W. Boulton on Alpine, and P. Staniey on Kgmont. Other members were Mrs Street, Mrs King, Mrs Webb. 'Mrs C'lifl'o and Miss Tarter. Hearty cheers were given for Mrs Sampson and "the hoys" for the excellent way the ?lub had been entertained. The committee meets on Saturday morning at' 11 o'clock to make final arrangements for the club's social, to be held 011 the s!)th.
