MONTE CARLO HORROR.
BE PORT THAT GOOLD HANGED HIMSELF. London, August 14. The Daily Telegraph's Marseilles correspondent reports that, after the Magistrate's departure, Goold hanged himself in prison. Paris, August 14. The Marseilles newspapers deny that tioold has committed filicide. Nobody believes Goold'a statement that be was in possession of ampie means and that the motive of the crime m not robbery. GATHERING EVIDENCE. Received 15th, 0.40 p.m. . Paris, August 15. The examining magistrate discovered in the ante-room at Goold's villa at Monte Carlo a tray with two used glasses and a tliird upside down on the tray, which was bloodstained. This is interpreted to mean that Mrs Levin was attacked soon after she entered, the third unused glass having been placed for her to drink from. A French magistrate is enquiring regarding the prisoners' antecedents in England, Utsaone, and Montreal.
